Dont purchase the controller unless you plan to play a specific game that requires it. Most Wii games can be played with the remote that the game system provides.Wii Classic Controller Pro – White

If You like buying the same thing you already have… I have a gold spray painted turd to sell you.
Got the controller bundled with Monster Hunter Tri… leaving my original Classic Controller that I brought when the Wii was first released obsolete. Why is it obsolete you ask? Because the cc pro improves all the errors of the standard CC which was removed from market. This controller has side handles and reconfigured buttons and feels like the best most comfortable controller nintendo has had in ages. The only annoying part being that the cord is short and it’s still attached to the Wii mote so it’s semi wireless.
Now seeing how inferior my hardly used CC is just made me think… First you buy the wii mote then the nunchuck, then the “motion sensor plus” then the classic controller… you think that would be enough to play the few games worth buying… then no for some the gamecube conroller is better so you find one of those and buy it… then that’s horrible so you buy an arcade stick…. but it only works with certain games… now a new game is out “Monster hunter tri” and it’s preffered that the “classic controller pro” be used for it. when does it end? I’ve spend close to 300 dollars in controllers for the system. why can’t nintendo just make one controller that can work for all of their games? Playstation has had the same controller for the past decade! and it you can use it with any game it’s perfect. They even kept the same design for the PS3. Why do I have to purchase so many different conrollers for this system?
It’s like each game demands a new controller. I don’t get why nintendo’s developers can’t or the game developers can’t spend more time programming their games to utilize the wii-mote properly. This Classic Controller Pro is just another attempt to get it right. This one comes with side handels and reconfigued buttons to make the conroller more user friendly… but for what game? Monser hunter tri? and what other game? You buy this and then realize only a 2 or 3 games need it. I brought the 80dollar arcade stick only to find hey only 2 or 3 nintendo games can use this… the same for the Game Cube controller… and the old classic controller. I’m just tired of spending money on conrollers and add ons for them. Now I have to go and spend another 30 bucks to buy this controller because obviously it’s a superior design to the cumbersome classic controller…and yet it still doesn’t have “RUMBLE!” so what’s next? Classic Controller Pro W/Rumble? then pay what now 60 dollars for a rumbling controller that will probably be only good for 1 game. What a mess. If you haven’t guessed it I’m tired of wasting money on Nintendo’s failures and attempts.
Buy this if you Must and I mean you actually NEED a classic controller. If not it would be a waste of money.

I’m not going to lie. I am disappointed with this controller because it could have been better. I like it much better than the classic controller, but ultimately there is almost no functional difference between the Classic Controller and the Classic Controller Pro. Nintendo had an opportunity to really improve the design, but it really isn’t much different from the classic controller except in two ways; the extended grip arms and the shoulder button layout. Even with those improvements though, this controller is not Nintendo’s most comfortable controller offering. Nintendo’s Wave Bird controller had a much more comfortable grip design and the shoulder buttons felt really nice. In fact, I am really confused when I think about why Nintendo would chose this design over tweaking the original Wave Bird controller format.
Pros:
- The shoulder button layout is much improved, similar to that of Sony and Microsoft’s controllers.
- The grip arms on the front are definitely nice, making for a much more comfortable grip.
- The D-pad has a bit of gritty texture to it, which is a nice but subtle touch.
Cons:
- We’re still stuck with the wire that plugs into Wii Remote.
- No rumble/force feedback feature.
- The (mediocre) analog shoulder buttons of the classic controller have been replaced with simple digital buttons.
- It feels a bit too light and flimsy to the touch, although it does seem to be fairly sturdy.
- Not compatible with GameCube games. Considering that it is nearly impossible to find a Wave Bird controller at a reasonable price it is still very unfortunate that most players will not be able to sit more than 6 feet away from their Wii while playing GameCube games.
Given my criticism, I won’t say that this is a bad controller; it just isn’t a great controller. Given the choice between this controller and a Classic Controller, this controller is definitely the better product and I recommend that every Wii owner own at least one of these if they don’t already have a Classic Controller lying around.

Do not order, we ordered it two months ago, receive constant emails saying there is a delay in shipment, nothing but a hassle. Says it is in stock, yet it NEVER ships!
